PROJECT FORWARD WORK GROUPS

A team has been created to lead the transition from This Century Art Gallery (TCAG) to the new Williamsburg Visual Arts Center (WVAC). The Transition Team’s work will be carried out by several Work Groups in a community effort called "Project Forward."

2008 ANNUAL MEMBERS’ SHOW WINNERS!!!

The Jean K. Walker Awards of Excellence were presented for Best in Show to Betty Lockhart Anglin for "My Bouquet", Second Place to Nancy Lenz Harvey for "After the Sunday Visit", and Third Place to Elaine D. Hampton for "Madonna, the Original, on CDs".

Merit Awards were presented to Jean Fripp, Johnny Hayes, Frances D. Jones, Kay Moneymaker, Henry Mook, Polly H. Nunn, Urlee O’Donnell, Karen Anderson Schwartz and
Francis X. Timmons.

2008 ART SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENTS!

Three Art Scholarships totaling $2,000 were awarded to Christian Brahe from Bruton High School, and Carol Lindsay Carter and Morgan Richardson, both from Lafayette High School.

Aromas Specialty Coffees & Gourmet Bakery has instituted a fundraising project, "Great Coffees for Great Causes", to support local not-for-profit organizations. This Century Art Gallery is proud to be included as a beneficiary of this project.

How does it work? For every pound of coffee you purchase at Aromas in Williamsburg or Newport News, Aromas will donate $3.00 to This Century Art Gallery when you present a Coffee Coupon.
