This Century Art Gallery
New Art Education Center
This Century Art Gallery has opened
an Art Education Center in the Williamsburg Crossing
Shopping Center (located at the intersection of Rt.
199 and Rt. 5) to hold its expanding program of classes,
workshops, and open studios. The 1,400 sq. ft. space
will permit classes to run throughout the day, will
offer a free lending library of art books and exhibit
participating student’s artwork. Adult classes and youth programs are scheduled in the mornings, afternoons, evenings and on the weekends. Commencing in September, a full roster of classes in fourteen disciplines will be offered, including pastels, acrylics, oils, watercolor, botanical drawing, principles and elements of design, drawing, altered books, photography, art appreciation lectures/slide presentations, jewelry making, hand-building with earthenware, clay sculpture and papîer maché. Open to adults and students of all ages and levels of experience. The gallery’s expansion of art education and community outreach programs will help enable its eventual transition to the Williamsburg Art Center at Paper Mill Creek.
